(school years 4-6)
TVYT runs alongside the academic school year and this group is for young people in School Years 4-6.
All of our weekly groups aim to reflect the interests and issues relevant to the young people involved, tailored for specific age groups.
In Spring Term 2017, we are celebrating TVYT's 5th birthday! Join us for a term of creating original theatre which will be performed as part of company-wide celebrations at the end of term. Details to be announced!
Music, Memories and Moments was our last project of 2016, where the group created a piece inspired by the theme and performed it in a gala night of performances and Awards in December.
The theme explored our relationship with music and how it is often so closely linked to our memories and significant moments in our lives.
Spring / Summer 2016
During this project, the TVYT.Thursdays worked on the theme of bravery with final performances at Queen's Hall in Hexham.
With performances from each of our weekly groups What Lies Before Us explored what it means to be brave. What does it look like, feel like and smell like? What gets in our way of being brave and is it even important anyway?

The night provided the young people of TVYT the opportunity to test ideas out on an audience, gather feedback and figure out ways to develop their piece into a polished performance.
The theme for this body of work was...
This Urdu word conveys a contemplative 'as-if' that nonetheless feels like reality, and describes the suspension of disbelief that can occur often through good storytelling.
The scratch term was all about pushing the young people of TVYT to experiment with new and exciting ways of telling stories.
