What is NT Connections?

Connections is the National Theatre's annual youth theatre festival and TVYT have got a little bit of experience with this festival. You can click on the posters on the right hand side to see which plays we have performed in the past.

Why do we do Connections?

Connections is committed to commissioning professional playwrights to write theatre for young people and about young people. It aims to take current issues in the lives of teenagers and to put those issues on stage for all to see, interrogate and understand.

Who can be involved in Connections?

The TVYT productions for Connections cast Y9+.
You don't have to have done anything with us before, just turn up to the audition and see whether you like what we do and we'll see if you're the right fit for the piece.

What if I don't get a part in TVYT's Connections play?

No worries! You can try again next year... and in the meantime you can see what else TVYT has to offer and get involved in our TVYT.Weekly groups or our TVYT.Holiday PIAW.

What we did last...

IT SNOWS - NTC16

​Same old story. Boy doesn't meet Girl.
Girl doesn't meet Boy.
Threatened by terrifying Lads Gang.
Threatened by awe-inspiring Girls Gang.
Mum and Dad have declared war... against each other.
Weird neighbour in the building opposite.
Usual ordinary gloominess.

Then, one day, it snows.
